- ISM 3011 - e-Business Systems Fundamentals
3 Credit Hours
e-Business Systems Fundamentals
Use and application of information system technology in the business environment, with emphasis on the fundamental e-Business models, technology concepts and systems used to enable and conduct electronic business. Concepts include the components of an I.S., the systems development process, the functions of the various types of communication networks, hardware, and software, including practical, hands-on projects designed to enhance e-Business analytical skills. Prerequisite: Completion of 45 hours of college course work is required prior to taking this course.
- ISM 3116 - Introduction to Business Analytics
3 Credit Hours
Introduction to Business Analytics
This course uses spreadsheets to identify trends and relationships in business data and how to apply them in a business environment. The focus of the course is on the managerial application of the results rather than the algorithmic derivation of the results. Visualization techniques are also shown. Prerequisite: ISM 3011

Business Data Management
Explores the complexities of data management in the digital world of big data. Uses advanced information technology and software tools to analyze data and create business intelligence. Offered concurrently with ISM 5208; graduate students will be assigned additional work.

Introduction to Quantitative Models for Business Decisions
Formulation and application of mathematical models in business decision making scenarios. Focuses on a system modeling view of resources, constraints and objectives. Credit can only be earned for one of these two courses: MAN 3550 and QMB 3820. Prerequisite: MAC 2233 OR ISM 3011
- MAN 3550 - Introduction to Management Science
3.0 Credit Hours
Introduction to Management Science
Quantitative decision-making methods and their application to planning and control of operations. Systems concept of organization and mathematical reasoning in decision-making emphasized. Cases and incidents provide illustrations. Credit can only be earned for one of these three courses: MAN 3540, MAN 3550 and QMB 3820.

Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to the University of West Florida’s online Business Analytics Certificate program, you must be admitted to the University as an undergraduate non-degree-seeking student.

To begin a certificate program, interested students need to fill out an undergraduate application. Once accepted as an undergraduate non-degree seeking student, you should contact the College of Business, speak to an advisor about course availability and scheduling and complete the online Undergraduate Certificate Declaration Form on MyUWF.
