When you study the online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance program at the University of West Florida, you’ll learn current career-focused information and the theoretical frameworks necessary to succeed in the finance field. The application-based curriculum has you complete real-world assignments such as managing a real portfolio of money for the university.
Your coursework in corporate finance, investments and financial markets and institutions provides the foundation for certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or the Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Courses and Requirements
UWF’s online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance includes 120 credit hours. After completing 60 credit hours in general education, including recommended lower-division prerequisite courses, you will complete 60 credit hours for the Finance major.
State-mandated common prerequisites must be completed prior to graduation, but are not required for admission to the program. See the Common Prerequisite Manual for course substitutions from Florida colleges and universities.

Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to UWF’s online B.S.B.A. in Finance, you must:
- A minimum course grade of “C” is required in all College of Business prerequisites and courses.
How to Apply
To apply to the online B.S.B.A. in Finance at UWF, you’ll submit an application for undergraduate admission with its $30 application fee along with the following:
- Submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended whose accrediting agency is included on the list of UWF-approved accrediting agencies
- ACT or SAT scores
- Completed residency application form for tuition purposes
- Completed departmental application form

Tuition waivers cover up to 75% of the non-resident portion of your tuition and are available to non-Florida residents (including international students) admitted to online programs and registered for online courses in active pursuit of that degree or certificate. Time to completion varies by student, depending on individual progress. Fees are charged per semester unless otherwise noted. This program may take up to 48 months to complete, depending on course availability and applicable transfer credits.

Alabama Differential Out-of-State Tuition
Residents of Alabama are eligible for Alabama Differential Tuition, a reduced out-of-state tuition rate. Active Duty Military
